Monster Truck Fest - Day 2 Results

Steve Sims, aboard the monster truck "Stone Crusher" completed a dominating weekend at the Holland Motorsport Complex by following up his pair of Saturday night wins with two wins and a second in Sunday afternoon’s edition of the Holland Monster Truck Fest.

The Virginia Beach, VA driver took the win in the Freestyle competition with a three point margin of victory over teammate Morgan Kane in "Mopar Magic." Earlier, "Stone Crusher" was victorious in the Race competition, defeating "Eradicator" with Andy Slifko on board in the final run. Earlier, "Stone Crusher" just nipped "Mopar Magic" at the line in a thrilling semi-final match-up.

In the Wheelie competition, Gunslinger, with Florida’s Scott Hartsock at the controls, took the win by just a single point over "Stone Crusher." A total of eight trucks were on hand for day two of the Monster Truck Fest at the Western New York oval.


Wheelie Competition: 1. Gunslinger (Scott Hartsock) - 25 points; 2. Stone Crusher (Steve Sims) - 24; 3. After Shock (Bob Robbins) - 21; 4. (tie) Krazy Train (Mark Noto) - 20; 4. (tie) Mopar Magic (Morgan Kane) - 20; 6. (tie) Eradicator (Andy Slifko) - 18; 6. (Tie) Backdraft (Jeremy Slifko) - 18; 8. Toxic (Larry Petri) - 10.

Race Competition: Round 1 - Stone Crusher def. Gunslinger; Mopar Magic def. Toxic; Backdraft def. After Shock; Eradicator def. Krazy Train.

Semi-Finals - Stone Crusher def. Mopar Magic; Eradicator def. Backdraft.

Finals - Stone Crusher def. Eradicator.

Qualifying Fast Time: Stone Crusher (20.34 sec.)

Freestyle Competition: 1. Stone Crusher - 26 points; 2. Mopar Magic- 23; 3. After Shock - 21; 4. Krazy Train - 20; 5. Backdraft - 16; 6. Toxic - 15; 7. Eradicator - 11. (Gunslinger did not compete in Freestyle due to mechanical issues.)
