Race of Champions Modified Tour Set to Return to Holland

The staff and management of the Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex alongside the Race of Champions Modified Tour is pleased to announce the return of the popular Modified tour to the historic Holland oval on Saturday, June 30, 2012.

Race of Champions Series Director Andrew Harpell stated that the return is “a co-promotion with the Bennett family in what should prove to be an exciting return of the Modifieds to Holland.” Holland General Timothy Bennett stated that “we as a whole are excited about the return of the Modifieds”. “They will be a good addition to the current schedule that has already been released” Bennett added. The rest of the racing card for the June 30th event will be announced in a couple of weeks.

Holland management would like to welcome back VSP Marketing Graphic Group as the official Suite Sponsor of the Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex. The VSP Corporate Tower has air conditioned rooms that have “the best seats in the house”. Holland PR Director Steven Petty said that “the VSP Corporate Tower is that one place where you would want to see a race from this season. The rooms are equipped with everything that you would need to have a nice night out and a great place to bring your corporate party or group to enjoy the sights and sounds of NASCAR in your own backyard”.

The Complex also announced the return of the popular Faster Pastor Race, which is set for Saturday, June 2, 2012. It is the 10th annual event and it brings out the competition side of the areas ministers. That night will also feature a 50 lap feature event for the Late Models plus a full NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program. The first heat event will hit the track at 5pm.

Plans are in place for the Registration Party which will take place on Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Holland Willows on Savage Road, just off Route 16. Everyone is welcome…Drivers, Owners, Crew Members and racing friends. Car number selection will take place as well as registration for new and returning drivers. Drivers can also sign up for Priority Gold plus reserve pit pads as well as register for the McKinley Mall Car Show in early May.

The Holland Motorsports Complex will open for its 53rd consecutive season of racing with a Sunday afternoon event on May 20, 2012 presented by McKinley Mall before shifting to the regular Saturday evening schedule on May 26, 2012.
