For the better part of five decades, the Bud 100 has been a staple on the Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex schedule. The Bud 100 will be bigger and better than ever as it is back on the schedule, slated for Saturday, September 7, 2013 and is presented by Paul Graff Trucking.

Support divisions will be announced shortly and the Bud 100 will be an open event. “We have a long and historic relationship between Try-It Distributing and the Budweiser brand and having them back on board with this event helps make this event one of the premier events in Western New York” says Holland Director of Public Relations Steven Petty.

“Sponsorship opportunities are available for this event” adds Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex General Manager Timothy Bennett. “We are making this an open event in order to attract drivers from all across the region and help make it a great race” Bennett added.

The last Bud 100 was raced back in 2010 and saw “Super” Sege Fidanza pick up the win for car owner Kurt Rutherford. This historic event started out as the Holland 100 with Pete Tingue winning the first edition back in 1964. Sponsorships have come and gone for the race involved, from the Pepsi Cola 100 to the Ron Corbo Twin 50’s, to the Genesee 150, Dr Pepper 100, RC Cola 100 with Budweiser on board starting in 1991. With the changing of sponsors also came the changing of the class that would race this prestigious race as the Late Models raced in this event every year until 2010 when the Pro Modifieds became the headline division. Many drivers have conquered this event including Rick Wylie, who won this event a record seven times. Ron Williams and Art Clark have won six times each and Dick Flaig won this event four times. Multi-time track champion Vern Bliss and Will Thomas each won the Bud 100 three times and Bob Senneker won the 100 special on two occasions. All other winners have won this event once including DeVere Bliss, Mark Bliss, Shawn Dunning, Sam Fullone, Junior Hanley, Steve Hill, Todd Hoddick, Roger Kelly, Eldon King Jr., Danny Knoll, Billy Rafter, Howie Scannell, Pete Tingue, and Bruce Van Dyke.

Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex will host its annual registration party on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Holland Willows on Savage Road in Holland. The annual McKinley Mall Car Show will take place from Friday, May 3 through Friday, May 10 at the mall in Hamburg. The 54th season of racing in the Holland hills begins on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 7:30 pm featuring the Getzoni Nationwide Insurance NASCAR Pro Modifieds, the McClurg Auto Group NASCAR Late Models, Bank of Holland Chargers, NASCAR Hornets, M&M U Pull-It Figure 8’s and the TQ Midget Series.

Other highlights on the schedule includes Carwarz Crash-A-Rama on June 8 and September 14 as well as the return of the Race of Champions Modified Tour, set for Saturday July 6. The George Decker Memorial 100 is scheduled for August 3 and Season Championships will take place on August 31st.
