The destruction, the excitement, the anticipation and the events that have fans sitting on the edge of the seats is returning to the hills of Holland this coming Saturday night, September 14 as it is round two of CarWarz Crash-A-Rama presented by M&M U Pull-It. “The Wildest Show on Wheels” will begin at 6:30pm Saturday and the event is rain or shine. This event will mark the end of the 12th season of this popular night of destruction and thrills courtesy of Chuck Rush and his crew.

angels_of_awareness_logo.jpgThis year’s fall classic of destruction will be crashing with a cause as Crash-A-Rama, the Holland NASCAR Motorsprots Complex, and local businesses and celebrities including Linda Pellegrino from WKBW-TV Channel 7’s AM Buffalo, former Buffalo Sabres player Danny Gare and all the drivers participating in the nights events will be raising funds for Angels of Awareness with 100% of those funds going to this organization. Angels of Awareness is a local grass roots foundation dedicated to helping women with ovarian cancer. Angels of Awareness was founded by Andrea Martinez, a Western New York native and its board members to promote research and advocacy in women’s health care specifically ovarian cancer. The mission is to raise funds for continued research for early diagnosis, community awareness and education and survivorship programs and support groups (for women going through it and for their families.) Andrea has assistance with Angels of Awareness from WNY Ovarian Cancer Project, CCS Foundation and the Women’s Health Center of Kaleida Heath.

On the card will be the $5000 to win Compact Enduro 100, the popular School Bus Figure 8 race, Stock Roller Derby, the Boat-Trailer Race, Flag Pole race plus the first appearance by the world famous Cannon Lady and Radical Bob the Human Bomb. All new to the Holland event will be a Lawn Mower Demolition Derby.

Round one of Crash-A-Rama was on Saturday June 8th and it was Matthew Serafin being declared the winner of the Enduro. 2013 Figure 8 Track Champion Jason Eck and his teammates won the Roller Derby while Clint Riegle won both the Limousine Demolition Derby and the School Bus Figure 8 race. Hornet driver Kenny Hejna won the Flag Pole Race while Dustin Wierzba won the popular Boat-Trailer Race. Tyler Haniszewski won the Front-Wheeled Demolition Derby.

The Budweiser 100 presented by Paul Graff Trucking and NOCO Express Shops was scheduled to be raced last Saturday September 7 but Mother Nature forced the postponement of this event until the 2014 racing season. “After much consideration and trying to work with the other tracks in the region with their ending events, we have decided that the rain date for the Bud 100 will be in 2014” stated Holland General Manager Tim Bennett. “With Crash-A-Rama taking place this Saturday, the US Open at Elegant Builders Raceway Park (Lancaster) next weekend, the Fall Brawl at Shangri-La II Motor Speedway the week after that and the Fall Shootout at Wyoming County International the first weekend in October, it is not feasible to get the show in” Bennett added.
