Driver Appreciation Night; 10 Features For August 10th Program

aug_3_2.jpgKayak Pools presents a full on track autograph session, a compact Enduro 100 that pays $1,000 to the winner (based on 50 cars) and 10 feature races will be held this coming Saturday night at the Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex.

Saturday, August 10 will also feature the second visit of the season from the Big 10 Super Stock Series. Lee Sharpsteen won the inaugural visit by the series to the Holland highbanks back on June 22. Also on the racing card will be the make up features for the Pro Modifieds and Late Models after a heavy rain shower washed out those feature races back on July 27th.

A full NASCAR Whelen All American Series program featuring the Pro Modifieds, Late Models, Chargers, TQ Midgets, Hornets and Figure 8’s will also be in competition. To cap off the night, a 100 lap Compact Enduro will take center stage. Enduro rules can be found online at Saturday night’s racing action is presented by Kayak Pools and is also the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library Reading Program and Boy Scouts Night at the races.

aug_3_3.jpgLast Saturday, Kirk Totten from Barker, NY won his second George Decker Memorial 100 for the Getzoni Nationwide Insurance Agency NASCAR Pro Modifieds in the last three seasons. Other winners included Eldon King III from Freedom, NY outraced Brandon Glover to claim his third win of the season in the McClurg Auto Group NASCAR Late Models. Rich Carnes from Cheektowaga, NY picked up his third Bank of Holland Chargers victory of the 2013 season. Dave Wollaber from North Tonawanda, NY picked up his third NYPAMA TQ Midget feature of the season. 2012 Hornet Champion Jeff Szafraniec from Buffalo, NY picked up his second Hornet victory of the 2013 racing season. Josh Hill from Irving, NY picked up his career feature win in the M&M U Pull-It Figure 8’s.

Pit Gates will open at 3:30 pm, grandstand gates will swing open at 4:45pm and qualifying starts at 5:00 pm. The make up features for the Pro Modifieds and Late Models will begin the racing program at 6:30 pm.
