The Holland Motorsports Complex has released their 2016 racing schedule, the 57th consecutive season under the leadership of the Bennett family at the historic 3/8th mile oval.
New for 2016 is the Ultimate Fan Experiences. For just $80, it includes one admission ticket to the races, VIP Pit Access with a race team of choice, watching the pit crew prep the car and be a part of their team, ride in the pace car for the duration of that team’s division’s race plus one autograph photo with the driver and VIP seating in the VSP Marketing Group Tower and Suites. Ultimate Fan Experiences can be purchased online as well by contacting the Speedway office.
The season will kick off with the annual Registration Party on Sunday, March 6 from 1 to 3:00 pm at the Holland Willows. Once again in 2016, Holland will be hosting two car shows at area shopping destinations. The Eastern Hills Mall car show will be held from April 30 through May 5, with move in day being on April 29 at 9:00 pm. The McKinley Mall show will run from May 7 until the 13th, with move in day on May 6 at 9:00 pm and move out on Friday, May 13 at 9:00 pm. Our full schedule can be found HERE.
2016 Preseason Thunder in the Hills will take place on Saturday, May 21 from 12 to 4:00 pm. During that time, drivers are encouraged to come and practice and tech inspection will be available. The 57th Season Opener presented by McKinley Mall will take place on Saturday May 28 featuring the Getzoni Nationwide Insurance Pro Chargers, Bank of Holland Hornets, NYPA TQ Midgets, INEX Legends, M&M U Pull-It Figure 8’s and the Future 4’s.
The month of June will kick off with the first event of the season for the Pro Modifieds on June 4. As part of the annual Bank of Holland Gold Rush and Kids Rides, the Pro Modifieds will run a 50 lap feature. A full Holland NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program will also be on the card. The following week is the first of two Carwarz Crash-A-Rama events. The fan favorite event will take place on June 11 with a rain date of June 12 if needed. The month will come to an end on June 25 as Kwik Fill presents a full program plus the first appearance of the season by the Canadian Outlaw Midget Series.
July will come in with the return of the ground-pounding Race of Champions Modified Tour for the annual Holland 100 on July 9. Last year saw Orchard Park, NY’s Patrick Emerling “defend home turf” and pick up the win over second generation drivers Andy Jankowiak and George Skora III. The following week will be Mid-Season Championships for all divisions. Saturday, July 23 will feature the Late Models and the Canadian Outlaw Midget Series plus a full NASCAR show. On July 30, Towne Automotive Group presents the annual George Decker Memorial 75 for the Pro Modifieds. The NYPA TQ Midgets will run a 50 lap feature plus a full NASCAR series show.
Saturday, August 6 is a regular NASCAR Series show and the next week, the Bank of Holland Hornets will run a 50 lap feature. On August 27th, Martin Brothers Chevrolet presents a full show plus the Late Models.
The month of September will kick off on the third with the Budweiser 75 for the Pro Modifieds plus Season Championships for all divisions. September 10is the second Crash-A-Rama show of the season featuring a full size school bus Figure 8 race, Enduro, the popular boat-trailer race and much more. September 11 is reserved as a rain date for Crash-A-Rama.

The Getzoni Nationwide Insurance Agency will continue as the divisional sponsor for the Pro Chargers, the newly named premier division. The Bank of Holland now has the distinction of sponsoring the Hornets. M&M U-Pull It returns for another season of sponsoring the M&M U Pull-It Figure 8’s.
