Yuengling Light Modified 100 This Saturday at Holland
This Saturday night, September 5, Holland Motorsports Complex will host the longest running scheduled race in all of Western New York. The running of the Yuengling Light 100 for the Getzoni Nationwide Insurance Pro Modifieds presented by the Upstate Automotive Group is a 100 lap race on the historic highbanks. This race, previously called the Budweiser 100, Genesee 100 and Holland 100, has been scheduled every year since 1964.
Sponsorship packages are still available for the Yuengling Light 100. Packages start at just $200 for a Bronze level sponsorship. Sponsorship packages include tickets to the event, program advertisement, public address announcements and a booth along the midway, guided pit tour and pace car ride plus inclusion in all social media updates regarding the event. Fans are encouraged to pick up their discounted admission tickets for the Yuengling Light 100 at participating Upstate Automotive Group locations and NOCO Express stores. The Pro Modifieds will be joined by the Seneca Niagara Casino Late Models, Bank of Holland Chargers, Hornets, NYPA TQ Midgets and the INEX Legends in a Regional Qualifier. Pit gates will open at 2:30 pm with grandstand gates opening at 4:45 pm. Racing will get underway at 5:00 pm with feature racing immediately following qualifying heats.
The final point’s night of the season was held this past Saturday night as Martin Bros Chevrolet presented Season Championship Night. Current New York State NASCAR point’s leader Jimmy Zacharias won the main event for the Getzoni Nationwide Insurance Agency Pro Modifieds. Brandon Glover won the Seneca Niagara Casino Late Model feature event while Eric Brown was victorious in the Bank of Holland Chargers. Jeff Szafraniec won the Hornet main event while Kyle Hutchinson, Brandon DeBrakeleer, Jason Adams and DJ Phillips was victorious in the Jerry Gradl Motors NYPA TQ Midgets, INEX Legends, M&M U Pull-It Figure 8’s and the Future Fours respectively.
This past Saturday night also saw the crowning of the 2015 track champions. Tommy Catalano won his first career Pro Modified title as did Brandon Glover in the Late Models.Tom Northem won his second Charger championship in three seasons. Jeff Szafraniec won his second career Hornet track title. Kyle Hutchinson won the Holland title for the NYPA TQ Midgets. Jeremy Haudricourt won the track championship in the INEX Legends. Jason Adams continued his dominance over the Figure 8’s as he earned his fourth track championship in five years. DJ Phillips won the Future Four championship for his first title.
