Darren Lenhardt, Steven Leisten, Marty Bryske, Jason Eck, Joe Merlino, Headline Holland Crash A Rama Winners

HOLLAND, New York (June 11, 2016) – “The Wildest Show on Wheels”, Crash-A-Rama didn’t disappoint the near capacity crowd that was on hand on a picture-perfect Saturday night at Holland International Speedway for the 15th Spring Show, 29th of all time. 2014 Rookie 4 Track Champion Darren Lenhardt was unofficially declared the winner in the Enduro. Steven Leisten was victorious in the Flag Pole Race. Marty Bryske won the popular School Bus Figure 8 Race. Joe Merlino outlasted 21 other competitors in the Demolition Derby.

75 Enduro cars took part in the 50 lap event paying $3,650 to win and it was Gary Ovitt showing the way early on. Kenny Hejna took the lead on lap two and then Ovitt regained the lead. Jeff Szafraniec took the lead away on lap 10 and set the pace with Darren Lenhardt took over the lead past the halfway point. Szafraniec Lenhardt regained the lead back from Szafraniec with two laps to go to pick up the win. Szafraniec would settle for second and was followed to the line by John Mendolera, Steven Leisten Jr, and Thomas Benntt completing the top five.

Marty Bryske and Jay Eck set the pace early on in the School Bus Figure 8 race. Preacher David Beyea took over second from Eck on lap seven. Beyea would take over the lead on lap eight but Bryske would regain the lead just one lap later and would hold off the Preacher and the “Mad Man” Marty Hughes to pick up the win. Stubby Hardway was victorious in the School Bus Figure 8 qualifying heat event.

24 Boat-Trailer Racers took to the track with Jason Eck showing the way from the drop of the green flag. Eck dominated the event, leading all ten laps to pick up the win.

35 entrants took part in the Flag Pole Race with Jason Eck showing the way. Steven Leisten took the lead on lap two. Kenny Hejna took over the lead on lap four. Leisten would regain the lead on lap six heading off turn two. Leisten Jr would hold on to pick up the win over Kenny Hejna and Jason Eck.

Fans went crazy and were on their feet for TRANSAURUS, the metal crushing, fire breathing dinosaur and Tee-d Off, the Jet Powered Golf Cart.

NEWS AND NOTES: Local recording artist Jordan Rose sang the National Anthem to kick off the show. The mid-way was filled with music before the show as Paddy Ryan and My Kinda Country was the pre-show entertainment.

Holland will return to NASCAR racing on Saturday June 18th for the second WNY’s Sportsman Night. Meet Realtree and Winchester Pro Staffer Nikki Boxler on the Midway! Fans are encouraged to go to Cabela’s on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga to pick up their $5 admission tickets. The Getzoni Nationwide Insurance Agency NASCAR Pro Chargers will headline the program with twin features plus the Bank of Holland Hornets, Advance Auto Parts INEX Legends, M&M U Pull-It Figure 8’s and the Rookie 4’s. Pit gates will open at 4:15pm with grandstand gates opening at 5:45pm and qualifying getting underway at 6:00pm. NASCAR Feature Racing will start at 7:05pm
