RACE
PROGRAM
Racing activities are sanctioned by NASCAR,
the nation's premier racing body. With over
2,000 short tracks throughout the United States,
less than 100 have qualified to carry the
NASCAR banner. Formed in 1948, NASCAR has
been the leader of race development, competition
and safety. NASCAR establishes stringent requirements
of safety and insurance. The Speedway is a
member of the Northeast Region Division of
the Winston Racing Series. The drivers at
Holland compete in point standings against
other short track drivers throughout the Northeast.
The National Champion is determined from 10
regional champions based upon the best performance
record in the region. Over $ 1,000,000 in
regional point monies are paid to the top
10 competitors in each region at the annual
national banquet held in Nashville, Tennessee,
each November. |
